All About the Indies Signing Conference 2017
This year, in February of 2017, I was lucky enough to attend the first All About the Indies Book Signing Conference. The conference was hosted by Author Sade Rena on February 18 at the Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston. There were nearly 30 authors in attendance and I had such a good time getting to know them all and networking with them. The weather worked against us, though, as it was the first real warm day of the year with temperatures 20 degrees above the norm! Although we didn't get many attending readers, the time spent connecting was fabulous--along with the hotel and the break the whole trip provided. I really enjoyed spending time with all of the authors and will share my videos and pictures of the trip below.

It was snowing quite a bit in NY and PA

I have my game face on!

A good breakfast. The Holiday Inn's food was top notch!

No one will ever know what it means to me to have my dietary restrictions catered to. I really enjoyed that cupcake.

She turned out to be a werewolf!

This was so much fun!
A Little Bit About the Hotels - I always like to know if a hotel or restaurant is worth my time and money, so I always review. You can find all my travel reviews HERE:

A very nice room with soft, dark ambience

And that desk was huge--nice workstation

Was a little hard for my liking. I need a softer mattress or my hips hurt and I toss, but it was still a nice bed.

was the pool and hot tub downstairs and having room service after a very long drive while watching some Masterchef Junior

Having Starbucks coffee was divine

so I put a half and half carton in the ice bucket

I LOVED this room

was much softer. I really slept well.

Big enough to be very comfortable in

And having the fridge made keeping cream easy. The ingredients in whitener are GMO and lethal! lol

Walking back from dinner at Applebee's. It was conveniently, and literally, right around the corner
Pictures from sightseeing in the D.C. Area

where I'd parked

but I thought it was a pretty building

And Author Lynn Lamb kept me company on Messenger. This is the silly face I sent her
